Dave Schwensen

Nearly every Cleveland comic has taken this workshop at one time or another. For the novice, I can't think of a better way to get your feet wet. Dave has been in the comedy business since the inception of the Improv. He was Bud Friedman's assistant and booker as well as booker for A&E's "Evening at the Improv". He has written two books on the business of stand up and has been doing this workshop successfully for many years.

Dave's workshop consists of three Saturdays of a mix of business tips and comedy information as well as working on your five minute set. You will write a set and hone it onstage as Dave and the class critique it and give suggestions. The big payoff is the graduation show at the Improv where you perform your set on the Improv stage to a usually full room. There is nothing else like it. Dave's workshops are very supportive and a lot of fun.
